A Silver Award Winning Garden
The garden is a small south facing courtyard. The clients required a design which is "multifunctional, rational, precise, interesting and formal". Essentially a garden for entertaining, there is also dual purpose space for parking one car, a large water feature, raised beds, a vine, fig tree and two olive trees, all of which contribute to the Mediterranean theme. In addition to this, the garden is entirely negotiable by the client in his wheelchair.
The client says "Catherine took our complex requirements and designed something that not only exceeded our imagination but is also easy to look after. Our courtyard is an important part of our home and Catherine managed to turn a difficult space into an area that gives us delight each time we walk into it."
