A Mediterranean Garden
In a steep city location a level space was created by the house builder at the foot of an imposing old rampart wall. My clients requested a Mediterranean style garden, perfectly feasible given the sunny baked situation and poor soil. A water trough, reminiscent of the fountains found in town squares, fits neatly between two buttresses and terracotta tiles complete the picture. From a built in seat one can enjoy the views over the medieval city.
