A Family Garden
My clients, a young couple with their first child, requested a garden which was both fun and safe for children to explore and sophisticated enough for adults to appreciate. This small garden is steeply sloping so I designed shallow timber steps with a circular space at mid gradient. A “secret” play house on stilts is tucked into one corner and up another flight of steps a sculpted story telling seat is both beautiful and intriguing. The steep banks are clothed with plants (here shown newly planted). This garden featured on the Garden Makers TV series.
