Catherine offers design services of
varying degrees of complexity, depending on your requirements and budget.
A consultancy visit may be sufficient.
Catherine can fine tune your own ideas, offer advice on hard landscaping and
suitable plants, and, if you wish, follow this up with a Sketch Plan and/or a
written report.
The full
design service
comprises:
An initial visit to establish the
brief, listen to your ideas and requirements, and assess the potential of your
garden.
A
comprehensive site survey and analysis is carried out either by Catherine or
a professional surveyor depending on the size and complexity of the site.
On the basis of the survey Catherine
draws up an Outline Plan. This is illustrative and in colour, accurate but
not detailed.
The
Outline Plan forms a basis for discussion and decisions can be made about
the details - such as hard landscape materials and plants at
this stage.
These details are then
included in the technical drawings and specifications in the Hard Landscape
Plan and the Planting Plan.
At every stage there are
opportunities for discussion and Catherine will incorporate your decisions
into the subsequent stages of the design.
Catherine can recommend landscape
contractors to construct the garden and assist in the tendering procedure.
Once a contractor has been appointed Catherine can monitor work in progress,
liaising with the client and the contractor to ensure that the garden is
completed to a good standard.
A
Maintenance programme to enable you
to care for your plants can be supplied if required.
