About Catherine
After training at Sparsholt College, Hampshire and the English Gardening School in Chelsea, I set up my practice in Salisbury in 1995 
and became a Registered Member of the Society of Garden Designers in 2002.
I am now an adjudicator for the Society. My designs have featured on TV in the Garden Makers series and in books and magazines.
I have been involved in the design of hundreds of gardens and landscapes since starting my business, from traditional to contemporary, Mediterranean, Japanese or modernist.
These range from community projects including schools and homes for the elderly, as well as private gardens. I have worked with architects and developers as well as private clients and community groups.
Sustainable design is a particular interest and I aim to enhance the garden whilst respecting the wider environment and encouraging wildlife.
A good understanding of design principles, construction techniques and plant knowledge forms a sound basis for my design work.
I was delighted to receive a Salisbury Civic Society Commendation and a Gold Award in the New Homes Garden Awards 2007, followed by a Silver Award in 2008.
